Event Details

  • What are Healing Circles?
Inspired by indigenous storytelling traditions from around the world, Healing Circles are a form of authentic communication rooted in communal presence. Together, participants share and listen to personal stories from the heart — no fixing, no advice, just witnessed truth. Through shared story, we build connection, compassion, and strength. We create less fear and more love. Together, we heal.

  • What should I expect?
We'll begin with a gentle grounding exercise in nature, followed by introductions and a guided meditation. The heart of our time together is the Healing Circle itself — structured in three rounds, with a prompt provided for each one:

    • 🗣 Story Sharing Round — speak and listen from the heart in a held, safe space (speaking not required)

    • 👁 Witness Round — brief response to what you heard

    • 🌱 Harvest Round — identify what you're taking with you from the Circle

After the Circle closes, you're warmly invited to continue connecting through a walk amongst the trees.

  • Notes on Space and Safety

    • This is a highly intimate event — registration is limited to 10 participants. Every person in the Circle is an active, essential part of the experience. If your plans change, please cancel your registration so someone else may attend.

    • We will start promptly, so please plan to arrive 10 minutes early. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late may be invited to participate as a witness outside the Circle — a role that also carries its own healing.

    • A gentle note: While Dana is trained in healing and trauma-informed practices, she is not a mental health practitioner, and this Healing Circle is not a substitute for therapy or grief counseling. Participants are encouraged to honor their own comfort and well-being throughout.

  • Cost & Donations

This Healing Circle is offered free of charge in the spirit of healing for all. At the close of the event, participants are warmly invited — but never obligated — to make an optional Pay-It-Forward donation.

  • Organizer Information

A Grief Like Mine is a compassionate community space that connects people navigating grief with others who’ve experienced similar loss, offering supportive gatherings and healing experiences.
